Welcome The
Northern Ohio Planned Giving Council, an affiliate of the
Partnership for Philanthropic Planning, is the only local
organization dedicated to improving both the quality and the
quantity of philanthropic planning in northeast
Ohio. We combine the
people, tools, values and best practices that work together
to make charitable giving most meaningful. Donors need
charitable gift planning advice from professionals with
integrity, expertise, and experience in law, investments,
property, tax, and charitable transfers in order to assure
both the technical merits of the transfer and the
philanthropic quality of the gift.

Jim
Conway Mentor of the Year Award
On
December 10, 2010, NOPGC was honored to present its first
Jim Conway Mentor of the Year Award to Thomas H.
Konkoly, Director of Development and Gift Planning, Baldwin
Wallace College.
James
P. Conway (1923-2010) was a gift planner of local and
national prominence. He was truly a ‘pioneer’ of the
profession and noted for sharing his expertise with anyone
who asked. In honor of his tradition of sharing with others
in the profession, NOPGC has established the Jim Conway
Mentor of the Year Award to recognize those who consistently
follow Jim’s philosophy of helping colleagues and their
institutions achieve their goals.
Thomas
H. Konkoly has worked in development for more than 40 years.
He was a founding member of NOPGC and instrumental in
creating the annual Planned Giving Day conference. Tom has
presented numerous programs for both NOPGC and AFP members
throughout the years, and truly embraces Jim Conway’s
philosophy of sharing his expertise and insight with others
in the profession.
